If you read our piece about blush being the new neutral, you may already be thinking pink for spring. So while your mind is there, allow us to help your face be just as trendy.
This isn’t bubble gum pink a la Britney Spears. Instead, the hottest spring makeup trend is all about au naturel. We’re not talking about ditching makeup altogether, but instead creating a look that’s so fresh and dewy, people may just wonder if you really did wake up like this.
To pull off this barely-there makeup look, Macy’s looked to makeup artist Eman to teach us her gorgeous nude face technique. Take a peek at Eman’s how-to natural makeup tutorial:
Here are the Natural Makeup Tutorial Products used in the video:
Start with your cream products:
* Eye Cream (Bare Minerals)
* Primer (Lancome Pro Pore Eraser)
* Tinted Moisturizer (Laura Mercier)
* Concealer (Bobbi Brown Concealer Kit)
Once done with all the cream products on your face, it’s time to set.
* Powder (Clinique Pressed Powder)
Overpowdering can dull the skin. Use a small brush to set concealer under eyes and then just in the areas you get really shiny, such as the T-Zone
* Contouring & Highlighting (Tarte, Pro-Zone Palette)
* Blush (Cream Blush from Bobbi Brown)
Tap into product, smile into the mirror, then gently sweep onto your cheeks to get a beautiful “flush” that comes from within.
Bare Minerals Snarky that gives a pink that mimics your natural lip color and has a beautiful sheen to it.
* Brows (Clinique superfine liner for brows)
To get a natural brow look, just flick the pencil which will make it look like you have little hairs and will create a fuller effect.
* Mascara (Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara)
Even a few sweeps of mascara will give you dark lashes to add high impact to your eyes.
As you can see, in under five minutes with just a handful of products, you can create a beautiful, natural makeup look that makes it appear as if you hardly used makeup at all! Whether you need a natural look for school, work or running errands, these products will keep you looking fresh and on-trend all spring.
